Bulk Hiring
High-volume hiring is easier to manage when role requirements, assessment rules and start dates are agreed before sourcing begins. This page explains what an employer can prepare and how to compare candidates consistently.
Define the hiring batch
Record the number of positions, locations, shifts, employment terms, start-date window and any mandatory qualifications. Separate requirements that are essential from skills that can be learned during onboarding.
- Create one role brief for each distinct position or shift.
- Confirm the interview panel and approval owner before inviting candidates.
- Identify accessibility and travel considerations for assessment days.
Organise a fair selection process
Use the same job-related screening questions for applicants to the same role. Set an interview schedule with clear communications, consent for processing candidate data and one accountable point of contact.
- Collect only the candidate information needed for the current stage.
- Use structured interview scorecards rather than informal impressions.
- Track offers accepted, candidates declined and joining dates separately.
Plan joining and follow-up
Confirm documents, reporting location, induction materials and payroll hand-off before the first shift. Make a contingency plan for no-shows without promising more positions than the business can support.
- Send joining details in writing.
- Assign an owner to resolve questions before day one.
- Review completion and retention after the first month.
